TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Vice Premier Cheng Wen-tsan strongly refuted On Wednesday (Oct. 25) rumors circulating on social media about a video allegedly depicting him in a hotel rendezvous with a woman.
In a social media post earlier that day, Cheng said he had taken legal action against the social media page that had spread the video to uncover the footage's origin and establish the truth.
Cheng emphasized that the video clips were recorded at different times and had been edited together in a misleading way to create the circulated footage.
He noted that several aspects of the video were illogical and stressed that its distribution had a singular purpose: to create a deceptive narrative. He affirmed that the person shown in those videos was not him.
