TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Foxconn Chairman Young Liu extended birthday wishes to founder Terry Gou on Wednesday (Oct. 18) and wished him success in the presidential election at Hon Hai's Tech Day.
Though Gou was absent from the event, many prominent industry figures, including NVIDIA's Jensen Huang, were in attendance.
Liu pointed out that the company had launched many products in the past three years, including advanced commercial vehicles, crossover SUVs, pickup trucks, commercial buses, and vans.
Emphasizing the CDMS (Contract Design Manufacturing Services) business model of Hon Hai, the chairman highlighted its ability to offer comprehensive and customization solutions for the automotive industry, thereby significantly reducing costs and shortening the time to market.
He also outlined Foxconn's sustainability goals, pledging zero carbon emissions by 2050 and commitment to cleaner, eco-friendly, and smarter solutions. The company's carbon reduction targets for 2030 have been certified by SBTi since April of this year.
The Hon Hai Tech Day event featured displays of electric vehicles, IC design, packaging and testing, third-generation semiconductors, motors, controls, batteries, and other products.
