TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taiwan People's Party (TPP) is scheduled to discuss a possible cooperation plan with the Kuomintang (KMT) in a meeting on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 14), as revealed by the TPP campaign office on Thursday (Oct. 12).
As the 2024 presidential elections approach, the potential collaboration between TPP hopeful Ko Wen-je and KMT hopeful Hou Yu-ih has gained significant attention.
Ko's campaign spokesperson, Tai Yu-wen, announced today that the TPP would delegate its campaign director, Huang Shan-shan, and office manager, Chou Yu-hsiu, to meet with the KMT campaign team CEO, King Pu-tsung, and KMT Secretary-General Justin Huang.
Tai emphasized that the TPP's three main principles—public transparency, public debates, and poll competition—will be upheld throughout the meeting. The dialogue will also cover the format of debates.
The talks will be recorded to maintain a spirit of openness and transparency, added Tai.
