TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Former Kaohsiung Mayor Han Kuo-yu, addressed speculation on his potential appointment as Kuomintang's (KMT) vice chairman on Wednesday (Oct. 11), confirming that he was contemplating the offer, emphasizing his lack of concern over job titles.
Kuomintang Chairman Eric Chu revealed a day earlier that he had invited Han to take on the role of KMT's vice chairman. Discussions on collaboration between the blue and white factions of the party and preparations for the 2024 legislative elections have also been carried out, according to Chu.
Meanwhile, the Convener of the "Blue Fighters," Jaw Shaw-kong, invited over 30 members to a press conference on Wednesday, publicizing their joint policy drafts at the event.
Notably present at the conference were KMT presidential candidate Hou Yu-ih, Han Kuo-yu, and former KMT vice chairman Hau Lung-bin.
When pressed by reporters about assuming the vice chairmanship, Han reiterated his ongoing consideration, stressing his readiness to help the KMT in the upcoming elections without regard to his position.
