TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Shihlin Night Market's underground food court will suspend operations for interior renovation starting Monday (Oct. 2) with the goal to reopen by June 2024, the Taipei City Market Administration Office (TCMAO) announced.
The office mentioned that the Shihlin Night Market's underground food court has aimed to provide consumers with an optimal dining environment since its establishment in 2011. Hence, the renovation will focus on upgrading the air conditioning and shared dining areas to further this mission.
"Through this renovation project, we aim to offer consumers a brand-new dining experience in Shihlin Market's underground food street while continuing to bring the familiar flavors of the night market," said Lin Tien-lai, president of the Shihlin Night Market Self-governing Association.
The Market Administration Office added that while the food court is under renovation, the morning and evening markets on the first floor of the Shihlin Market will continue to operate as usual.
