TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan People's Party Presidential Candidate Ko Wen-je is reportedly revisiting the United States from Oct. 1 to 5.
This time, he will visit areas not covered during his April trip, including Los Angeles and San Francisco.
However, Ko's planned trip has not received unanimity within his party. Some members believe that since Ko already visited Washington D.C. in April and does not plan to visit the East Coast, another trip is unnecessary.
On Wednesday morning, Richard Jao, the Political Chief at the American Institute in Taiwan, visited Ko, leaving many to speculate further about the possible impending trip.
Meanwhile, Ko also faces issues related to the controversial affairs of Hsinchu Mayor Kao Hung-an and disputes concerning his party's election situations.
Amidst the controversy over his U.S. visit plans and in-party electoral disputes, Ko Wen-je remains steady in his political position, according to the polls.
