TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The online education sector is experiencing a remarkable surge. According to the Institute for Information Industry, Taiwan witnessed a staggering value of NT$51.06 billion in digital learning in 2022.
Recognizing the immense potential, Waki, a former TSMC manager, has ventured into the realm of online content creation.
His earnings from selling online courses, dedicated to promoting learning, even surpass his prior annual income of NT$3 million.
Remarkably, the revenue from just one of his courses equals the earnings from six years at TSMC.
For instance, a 'memorizing techniques' course raked in an impressive NT$50 million in revenue, showcasing the sustained momentum of online learning even post-pandemic.
However, some subjects thrive through in-person interaction, like the debate class, for example. Hands-on experience and immediate practice in on-site settings could foster richer learning.
Nevertheless, the digital learning landscape holds significant financial prospects. The real challenge lies in carving a niche amid the sea of online creators with quality content.
