TAITUNG (TVBS News) — There are 10 Taiwan's Brave Eagle Advanced Jet Trainers stationed at Zhihang Air Force Base in Taitung County, Taiwan.
Fans recently gathered outside a military base to get a glimpse at new fighter jets.
Taiwan aims to replace its aging F-5 planes with the self-made Brave Eagles. According to military officials, 45 more Brave Eagles will be put in service by 2024.
The Brave Eagles can take off after 300 meters compared to F-5 planes' 500 meters. And they are equipped with X16J ejection seats.
