PINGTUNG (TVBS News) — Air Force pilots on Wednesday (Nov. 9) requested that Chinese military planes leave Taiwan's air defense identification zone (ADIZ) with a slightly different tone than usual, military experts reported.
Taiwan military enthusiasts noticed the seven broadcast messages that morning sounded slightly angrier than in previous weeks. The warnings stressed words such as "attention" and "turn away immediately."
Soldiers should not let their emotions be reflected in their work, according to military affairs commentator Cheng Chi-wen. "They might be the subject for review if they violated the policies," he added.
As cross-straight tensions have continued to rise, Chinese planes have already entered Taiwan's air defense zone six times in November, and Taiwan Air Force has warned them away 41 times, according to Taiwan military observers.
