TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Golden Horse Award-winning actor Ethan Juan (阮經天) is mourning the loss of his mother, who passed away on Tuesday (May 22), his agent confirmed, according to a local report.
The news comes at a time when Juan had put his acting career on hold to care for his ailing mother, highlighting the deep familial bonds that he has often spoken about.
Juan's agent expressed gratitude for the public's concern and requested privacy for the actor and his family during this difficult time. "Thank you for your concern, please give him and his family some space," the agent said.
Juan has always been open about his close relationship with his grandparents and mother, despite a more distant relationship with his father.
