TAIPEI (TVBS News) — On the second day of the Smart City Summit and Expo (SCSE) in Taipei City, leading technology and telecommunication giants unveiled the latest products that leverage 5G and artificial intelligence.
Taiwan's premier telecommunications provider, Chunghwa Telecom, highlighted the expansion of its service to local citizens and international clients through undersea cables. Meanwhile, FarEastone Telecom demonstrated using 5G networks to connect ambulances with hospitals, equipping medical professionals with the tools to monitor resuscitation efforts in real-time.
Acer and Taiwan Secom presented models that integrate various functionalities, from electric vehicle (EV) charging ports to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). These innovations include an EV charging station with a parking space detector and a payment device enabling on-the-spot parking fee transactions.
Additionally, drones were showcased for their potential to deliver food, goods, and medical supplies to remote areas during natural disasters. These pioneering products promise to revolutionize urban infrastructure and improve city services, propelling Taiwan into a new era of smarter cities.
