TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Newly elected legislators reported to the Legislative Yuan on Thursday (Feb. 1), officially taking the oath of office and participating in a group photo. Party representatives were arranged for the photo based on seniority, with the more experienced legislators taking front-row positions.

Prominent figures from all parties gathered under one roof. These included Kuomintang's (KMT) Han Kuo-yu and Hsieh Lung-chieh, Wang Shih-chien of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), and Huang Kuo-chang from the Taiwan People's Party (TPP).

Despite having only served one term as a legislator, Legislative Speaker You Si-kun was placed in the center of the photo.

Flanking you were the DPP's caucus convener Ker Chien-ming, along with Lai Shyh-bao of the KMT, a legislator who has served eight straight terms. Ker and Lai, the respective senior whips of their parties, added to the dynamic ambiance of the event.
