BANGKOK (TVBS News) — The Thailand government announced on Tuesday (Oct. 31) that Indian and Taiwanese travelers will be granted 30-day visa-free entry from November 2023 to May 2024.
Chai Wacharonke, government spokesperson of Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, revealed that "all arrivals from India and Taiwan can enter Thailand for 30 days." The news follows Thailand's decision in September to scrap visa requirements for Chinese tourists.
According to the latest data from the Thai government, approximately 22 million tourists visited Thailand between January and Oct. 29, generating around NT$833 billion in revenue.
In related news, Thavisin informed international media that the visa-free privileges for Taiwanese and Indian tourists will be enacted on Nov. 10 and continue until May 10, 2024.
