MOFA arranges repatriation flight from Tel Aviv to Rome (TVBS News)
TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has instructed the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Tel Aviv to arrange a repatriation flight on Wednesday (Oct. 19).
The flight is scheduled to depart from Tel Aviv Airport at noon on Thursday and arrive at Rome International Airport (FCO) in Italy on the same day.
The MOFA has urged Taiwanese compatriots and nationals in Israel to take advantage of this flight to leave the country as soon as possible.
If there are remaining seats, they will also be offered to embassy personnel and overseas Chinese from friendly countries sharing similar principles with Taiwan, authorities announced.
Since Israel suffered a terror attack by Hamas on Oct. 7, the MOFA and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office have consistently assisted Taiwanese nationals in leaving the country through air and land routes.
To date, they have successfully assisted 157 Taiwanese nationals to evacuate safely.
