TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan Kentucky Fried Chicken has rolled out a new contactless order and pick-up system in response to the pandemic.
Customers are more aware of hygiene after the pandemic hit.
And this new system lets customers order food on their phones and pick it up at the store without any contact with people, reducing the risk to be infected.
The system reportedly saves up to two minutes on average for each order and improves food preparation efficiency.
It is also more convenient for the customers and reduces the operation costs for restaurants.
The restaurant hopes to expand the new system to more local stores.
