TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Rock singer Wubai (伍佰) will launch his "Rock Star 2" world tour at Taipei Arena (台北小巨蛋) on June 13, delivering three consecutive nights of performances, according to media reports on Wednesday (March 5). The tour requires real-name ticket purchases starting next Saturday at noon.
Celebrating his 35th year in the music industry, Wubai will collaborate with his longtime band, China Blue, marking their 33-year partnership. This tour, their 15th, promises a fresh experience distinct from their previous "Rock Star" tour. Wubai emphasized that every performance will create a unique experience and feeling for each participant, encouraging audiences to embrace the unexpected.
The tour will kick off in Singapore in April, with additional stops in China, Malaysia, and Japan. Besides the tour, Wubai plans to transform hundreds of his song lyrics into a poetry collection and release the script for the rock opera "How to Be a Rock Star" (成功之路). He also mentioned that a photo album is in the works, signifying his ongoing creative endeavors to offer fans more content.
