Taiwan Railway adds stops for Fulong Sand Sculpture Festival

TAIPEI (TVBS News) — In anticipation of the influx of tourists for the Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival (福隆沙雕季) during the summer vacation, Taiwan Railway Corp. (台鐵) announced Tuesday that from June 29 to Sept. 1, Tze-chiang limited express trains 212, 170, and 181 will make additional stops at Fulong Station (福隆站) on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Sand Sculpture Festival, themed "LINE FRIENDS Summer Star Party" (LINE FRIENDS夏日明星派對), kicked off on May 31 and will run until mid-October. It features 45 sand sculptures, including characters such as Brown (熊大) and Cony (兔兔).

To facilitate passenger dispersal after the 2024 Fulong Life Festival Grass Wave Music Concert (2024福隆生活節草地浪花音樂會), Taiwan Railway will add stops at Fulong Station on July 27 and 28 for the EMU3000 series train 445 and Fast Local Train 4039.

Taiwan Railway urged passengers intending to take the return trip on the EMU3000 series train 445 to purchase their tickets in advance. The corporation also noted that train 445 will not sell standing tickets and does not provide electronic ticket services.
