TAINAN (TVBS News) — Vice President-elect Hsiao Bi-khim, who was admitted to National Tainan Girls' Senior High School in her high school years but could not attend due to moving abroad with her father, attended the school's alumni association election on Sunday (April 28).
She had previously shared a 1986 news clipping on Facebook about her admission to the Tainan school, expressing regret that she was unable to graduate from there.
At the gathering, Hsiao told the students present that they could view her as a senior alumna in the future.
Hsiao said that although she was somewhat rebellious and naughty during her student years, she still took her studies seriously and once served as a "chemistry teacher helper" in her class.
After moving abroad, Hsiao's academic performance in the United States was outstanding, especially in mathematics, which allowed her to take college math credits in high school and graduate early.
Her attendance at the reenactment of the entrance ceremony at the Tainan school has attracted widespread attention.
