TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Central Weather Administration (CWA) issued a dense fog advisory on Thursday (Feb. 22) for Kinmen and Tawian's northern regions, causing many travelers to be stranded at Kinmen Airport due to reduced visibility of under 200 meters in Kinmen and Taoyuan.
The foggy situation caused the suspension of the mini-three-links route from Kinmen to Wutong starting at 7:35 a.m., and the resumption of this route will be determined based on weather conditions.
Starting from Feb. 19, due to the dense fog, 24 flights in the Kinmen area have been canceled, stranding more than 2,000 people who have not yet been evacuated.
In addition, on Wednesday morning, three flights were also canceled at Shangyi Airport due to the dense fog, further affecting the evacuation operations.
