TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The "Orange Devils" marching band from Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School, celebrated for their music, arrived at Taoyuan International Airport on Saturday (Dec. 9), expressing their fondness for Taiwan.
Their visit strengthens the cultural ties established during their performance at Taiwan's 2022 National Day celebration.
Lee Hou-ching, Secretary-General of the General Association of Chinese Culture (GACC), highlighted the warm reception the band received last year. This year's invitation, extended to both the band and Taipei First Girls High School (TGH), aims to further cultural connections as the band prepares to participate in TGH's 120th Anniversary celebration.
Lee acknowledged corporate support for the visit, including an invitation from the Kaohsiung City Government for school exchanges and performances.
Over the next five days, the Tachibana SHS band will perform at esteemed venues, including Kaohsiung's Time Avenue, TAI Urban Resort, New Taipei's Fuji Grand Hotel, Ximending, and the National Theater & Concert Hall.
