TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Ministry of National Defense (MND) stated Saturday (Dec. 9) that a satellite launch earlier in the morning conducted in Gansu Province, China posed no threat to Taiwan.
At 7:35 a.m. the same day, a particular type of carrier rocket bearing a satellite was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, with the flight path directed towards the Indian Ocean and travailing beyond Earth's atmosphere.
The Taiwan Defense Ministry issued a press release confirming that the country's armed forces utilized the joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance system to meticulously track the ballistic dynamics and trajectory of the rocket launch.
They have appropriately executed vigilant and responsive measures to the event, MND said.
