TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Independent presidential candidate Terry Gou on Saturday (Oct. 28) posted on Facebook calling for the public to support him in the presidential race.
Gou has been absent from the public for six consecutive days. With only six days remaining to collect enough signatures to secure a spot on the ballot, Gou took to social media to call for more support despite having reached the minimum requirement of signatures needed.
In the Facebook post, Gou shared that his political philosophy is centered on "peace," "prosperity," and "integrity." He believes himself to embody the spirit of a venture entrepreneur who upholds professionalism, organization, and fearlessness against adversities.
Gou also introduced his political ideas, hoping to build a Republic of China representing "peace, prosperity, and integrity."
The independent candidate stated that if no changes are made, there will be chaos caused by the struggle for power, warning the people to be aware and scrutinize the current power structure.
Gou has set up signature collection stations all around Taiwan and has encouraged the public to share his posts and his official LINE account to invite friends to the nearest signature collection stations in the hopes of obtaining a sufficient number of endorsement forms.
