TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taiwan International Orchid Show kicked off on Saturday (March 4), showcasing over 50,000 beautiful orchid plants.
Crowds of visitors entered the exhibition, presenting QR codes for admission to the stunning floral extravaganza.
A giant dinosaur exhibit inside the show instantly became a hit with children, with one excited child pointing out, "it moves!"
Standing at a towering height of 12 meters, the giant dinosaur is just one of the many highlights in the show, featuring eight exhibition areas with themed and competitive halls.
Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-che also visited on the opening day, urging visitors to explore the Xinying District.
Also, Agriculture and Food Agency Director General Hu Jong-i unveiled a special interactive activity in which visitors could vote for the most beautiful orchid.
The Taiwan International Orchid Show, alongside Japan's "Japan Grand Prix International Orchid and Flower Show" and the "World Orchid Conference," is one of the world's three major annual orchid shows.
This widely popular exhibition will be open until March 19, offering a feast for the senses for all who visit.
