Swift rescue operation follows Keelung park landslide (TVBS News)
KEELUNG (TVBS News) — A massive landslide occurred at Keelung Chaojing Park on Monday (June 3) afternoon, causing large sections of the mountainside and boulders to fall, crushing several vehicles below. The incident, which took place at 2:28 p.m., has left multiple cars buried under rubble.

The Keelung City Fire Bureau swiftly deployed 17 vehicles and 30 personnel to the scene for rescue operations. Authorities reported that so far, 11 vehicles, including ten cars and one motorcycle, have been reported as affected by the landslide. Eight people escaped on their own, and two people were sent to hospital with minor injuries.
Search and Safety Measures
Given Chaojing Park's status as a popular tourist destination, the presence of numerous visitors at the time of the landslide raised concerns about potential trapped individuals.
Two search and rescue dogs were dispatched to assist in the search efforts to address these concerns. The quick response and comprehensive search efforts underscore the authorities' commitment to ensuring the safety of all affected individuals.
