Taiwan‘s Digital Minister Tang endorses successor (TVBS News)
TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's Digital Minister Audrey Tang expressed confidence in the incoming cabinet announced by Premier-designate Cho Jung-tai on Wednesday (April 24).
Tang praised her successor, cyber security scholar Huang Yen-nun, for his expertise in cyber security, artificial intelligence, and privacy enhancement technologies.
"I am very reassured," Tang said of the new cabinet lineup earlier that day.
Tang emphasized that she had begun the handover process with Huang. The Ministry of Digital Affairs' most important legislative proposals, such as the Cyber Security Management Act and the Fraud Crime Prevention Act (詐欺犯罪危害防制條例), will be submitted to the Legislative Yuan before May 20.
This will allow Huang to implement policies based on these laws once he takes office, Tang pointed out.
