TAIPEI (TVBS News) — China's Taiwan Affairs Office (TAO) spokesperson Zhu Fenglian, criticized Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) on Wednesday (April 10) for creating numerous obstacles for Chinese products, accusing them of "banning and prohibiting."

Electric vehicles have become a global trend, and rumors are circulating that Chinese car brands BYD and Chery are planning to enter the Taiwanese market. However, current Taiwanese laws prohibit the import of whole cars and chassis from China.

Zhu believes that Chinese new energy vehicles and drones, with their advantages in technological innovation, product diversity, complete industrial chains, high market recognition, and global layout, are loved by Taiwanese consumers. She called for respect for the consumer choice of the Taiwanese people, allowing them to enjoy more good products and services.

The spokesperson also mentioned an ancestral worship ceremony to be held on April 11 in Xinzheng, Zhengzhou, Henan Province, the hometown of the Yellow Emperor.

More than a hundred Taiwanese, including grassroots representatives, Taiwanese businessmen, media, and representatives of Taiwanese youth in Henan, will participate in the on-site worship activities, she added.

Zhu stated that compatriots from all walks of life and on both sides of the strait are working together to inherit the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation, which is of great significance to enhancing the sense of national belonging, dignity, and honor of compatriots on both sides of the strait.
