TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The itinerary for former Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou's upcoming visit to China is still being arranged, according to Hsiao Hsu-tsen, director of the Ma Ying-jeou Culture and Education Foundation.

Hsiao added that the details will be announced by Ma's office and China's Taiwan Affairs Office.

Ma is set to visit China on April 1, and there is a possibility of a second meeting, dubbed "Ma-Xi II," with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The potential dates for this meeting are April 8 or 9.

Ma's schedule includes a lecture at Sun Yat-sen University on April 2, a ceremony honoring the Yellow Emperor on April 4, and a speech at Peking University on April 9.

The former president's visit and potential meeting with Xi Jinping come amid ongoing tensions and complex relations between Taiwan and China. The details of Ma's itinerary are eagerly awaited as they could provide insights into the current state of cross-strait relations.
