Taiwan braces for summer-like heat with highs of 34°C (TVBS News)
TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Temperatures across Taiwan are set to rise significantly on Friday (March 22), with meteorologists predicting a warming trend over the next four days, reaching a high of 34 degrees Celsius.
Dr. Lin Te-en, a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from National Taiwan University, stated that from March 23 to 25, the northern region will experience nighttime lows of around 20 degrees Celsius and daytime highs ranging from 28 to 31 degrees Celsius, a temperature difference of over 15 degrees Celsius.
In the central and southern regions, temperatures could reach up to 34 degrees Celsius, resembling summer-like conditions. The public is reminded to take precautions against sun exposure during outdoor activities.
Furthermore, meteorologists have indicated that there are no signs of strong cold air, signaling the end of winter. Winds across the region will shift to the south, leading to increasingly warmer conditions. The likelihood of another cold front appearing in the near future is quite low.
Regarding precipitation, apart from sporadic, brief showers in the eastern and southeastern regions and the Hengchun Peninsula, the weather across the island is expected to remain largely clear and stable.
