TAIPEI (TVBS News) — As a cold front departs early Wednesday (March 12), conditions are expected to ease in different regions, followed by clear and stable weather due to the arrival of dry, cold air, according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA).

Temperatures dipped across the region on Wednesday morning. Brief showers occurred in areas north of central Taiwan and areas such as Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu. However, only Hualien, Taitung, and the Hengchun Peninsula may face sparse rainfall after sunrise. Furthermore, due to radiative cooling in the mornings and evenings, the difference in temperature between day and night will be more pronounced.

Temperatures along the northern coast and some flatlands may drop close to 10 degrees Celsius on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. The public is advised to keep warm.

Weather stabilizes Thursday through next Sunday, with short-term rain possible in the eastern half of the region. Cloud cover slightly increases on Thursday and Friday but will gradually lessen on Saturday and Sunday, as daily temperatures start rising.

Next week, from the evening of Sunday, March 17, Taiwan will be affected by another cold front. While northern and eastern parts may have brief showers and see a slight temperature drop, central and southern areas won't be greatly affected.
