TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Noted Golden Melody Award-winning band, Fire EX., announced on Monday (Feb. 26) that its "One Life, One Shot" concert will be held at the Taipei Music Center on June 15. This will mark their first large-scale northern Taiwan concert in eight years, eagerly anticipated by many fans.
"One Life, One Shot," initially staged at the Kaohsiung Music Center in August 2023, was lauded by music enthusiasts for its depiction of life as "a film shot in one take," giving the audience the watching-a-flowing-and-story-driven-life-movie experience.
Owing to public demand, Fire EX. has added a Taipei Music Center performance with fans expressing enthusiastic sentiments such as "Finally, the wait is over!" and "Can't wait to buy tickets!"
Additionally, Fire EX. is set to rock North American audiences with tours in nine cities starting next month and will participate in the premier U.S. music festival South by Southwest.
For the upcoming North American tour, Fire EX. has specially invited former U.S. envoy, and Vice President-elect Hsiao Bi-khim, to film a promotional video. This move has speakers of both Taiwanese and English hyped, stating "Since Ambassador Hsiao is recommending it – it's a must-see!"
Established in 2000 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Fire EX. is a Taiwanese punk band. They garnered widespread recognition in mainstream Taiwanese music with their song "Island's Sunrise," created during the 2014 Sunflower Student Movement, which won Best Song of the Year at the 26th Golden Melody Awards. In 2020, they also clinched the Best Band award at the 31st Golden Melody Awards. The band's long-term support for Taiwanese consciousness has earned them significant acclaim.
