Ko slams DPP for inaction despite claims of self-reflection (TVBS News)
TAOYUAN (TVBS News) — During a morning canvassing walk on Saturday (Dec. 23), Taiwan People's Party (TPP) presidential candidate Ko Wen-je criticized the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for its lack of action despite claiming self-reflection.
The comments were targeted at remarks made by DPP vice-presidential candidate Hsiao Bi-khim during a Central Election Committee (CEC) policy presentation the previous day.
Hsiao had asserted that some DPP comrades had forgotten their original intentions and made errors, burdens that the DPP government must bear.
Addressing Hsiao's suggestion that Ko Wen-je's policies are already being implemented by the DPP, Ko clarified the crucial difference: the DPP talks without acting, whereas the TPP takes action.
Ko further evaluated the performance of his running mate, Cynthia Wu, deeming her steady. Advocating that the TPP seriously discusses policies, Ko asserted that the party will not treat presentations as mere call-in shows to fill time.
