TPP‘s Wu touts legislative record ahead of VP debate (TVBS News)
TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan People's Party (TPP) vice-presidential candidate Cynthia Wu highlighted her legislative achievements on Wednesday (Dec. 20) during her service in the Legislative Yuan, which spanned 412 days.
Wu, facing inquiries about her preparations for the upcoming televised policy presentation and debate, stressed that her tenure included the proposal of 15 bills, the hosting of five public hearings, and three symposiums.
Among the significant bills Wu has advanced are amendments to the Central Bank Act, the Social Medical Development Act, and the Assisted Reproduction Act.
These reforms reflect her commitment to improving Taiwan's financial stability, healthcare system, and reproductive health policies.
"I believe that my policy platform will be based on these legislative proposals. Thank you," Wu stated, expressing confidence that her record will be the foundation of her campaign.
As the upcoming 2024 elections are heating up as candidates ramp up their preparations, the vice-presidential TV policy presentation is scheduled for Dec. 22, while the debate will take place on New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 2024.
