TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's presidential and vice-presidential candidates wasted no time after officially registering for the race on Nov. 24.
Campaign photoshoots were quickly scheduled as the candidates aimed to convey distinct messages through their stances and attire, all with the common objective of securing more support from Taiwanese voters.
In these photoshoots, the Kuomintang candidates emphasized their professionalism, adopting serious poses that highlighted their gravitas.
In stark contrast, the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) took a different approach, seeking to project a more youthful and open image.
According to media reports, both parties carefully considered their attire, with the DPP candidates forgoing ties in their suits as part of their strategy.
With the election date looming and less than 50 days remaining, each of the three parties is putting forth a concerted effort to stand out in a highly competitive political landscape.
Their focus is squarely on winning the hearts and votes of the Taiwanese public.
