TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Vivian Huang, Taiwan People's Party (TPP) presidential candidate Ko Wen-je's campaign manager, quashed resignation rumors late Wednesday (Nov. 15) night, saying she'll stay at his side "until the very end."

As the 2024 presidential election is less than two months away, Huang refuted speculations of her resigning via a social media post, stating, "I have fought by Ko's side for the past three years. What does not kill you makes you stronger!"

The TPP and Kuomintang (KMT) reached a party alliance consensus on Wednesday morning, after a two-and-a-half-hour meeting between Ko and three KMT heavyweights, including the party's chairman Eric Chu, and its presidential candidate Hou Yu-ih, with former President Ma Ying-jeou as a witness.

Following a point-based system, both parties agreed to invite three recommended polling experts to assess public opinion poll results from Nov. 7 to Nov. 17, and two internal polls provided by KMT and TPP respectively.

The Ma Ying-jeou Foundation is scheduled to unveil the results on Saturday, to then firmly establish who will be named first on the ticket – Hou and Ko, or Ko and Hou.
