TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Central Election Commission (CEC) provided on Tuesday (Nov. 7)  an official notice explaining what candidates in the Legislative Yuan elections should anticipate.

The 11th legislative elections will unfold on the second Saturday in January next year, coinciding with the upcoming elections for the 16th term president and vice president.

Nomination forms for candidates running for the legislative elections will be available from next Thursday to the following week. The registration period starts two weeks later, on Monday, and ends after four days.

The CEC has requested political parties seeking to apply as at-large legislators and overseas citizens looking to run for the legislative elections to submit their candidate registration lists at the CEC counter, located on the first floor of the Federal Government Office in Taipei.

Moreover, the CEC said that the election announcement provides detailed information about the scope of legislative authority, including administration divisions, the number of positions to be elected, and the maximum amount allowed for campaign expenditures.
