Stable weather expected in Taiwan through Friday

TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The weather across Taiwan has stabilized on Monday (Sept. 11). From Monday to Friday, the weather will remain mostly stable, but there will be scattered, brief showers in the mountainous regions during the afternoons.

Due to the influence of a low-pressure belt, heavy rain struck Chiayi on Sunday (Sept. 10), resulting in the tragic deaths of two people trapped in their submerged vehicle. The situation was so dire that Chiayi County announced the suspension of work and classes for Monday.

A tropical depression may form between Wednesday (Sept. 13) and Thursday (Sept. 14). It is advisable to stay alert for the latest forecast updates due to the unpredictable nature of the weather pattern.
