Coffee prices in Taiwan are rising as global bean costs double due to extreme weather in major producing regions. Starbucks has already increased prices, while budget chains like cama and Louisa Coffee face difficult decisions about whether to follow suit or absorb costs internally. With Taiwan’s coffee consumption jumping 50% in just two years and harvests continuing to decline, experts warn that affordable coffee may soon become a thing of the past.

Louisa Coffee will raise prices by NT$5 on select beverages starting April 7 due to rising costs. Some coffee beans and filter boxes will also see slight increases.
