TAIPEI (TVBS News) — TWICE (트와이스), the South Korean girl group, will transform Taipei into a themed city from Friday to Sunday (March 20-22) with a series of concerts at the Taipei Dome (台北大巨蛋). The Taipei City Government and Live Nation (理想國) have collaborated to launch a citywide support initiative to celebrate the event.
Organizers announced the "ONCE CITY MAP" project on March 15, which includes nine support landmarks and eight official activities, turning Taipei into a TWICE-themed city. The Taipei City Government has linked nine classic TWICE songs with nine city landmarks, covering areas such as Xinbeitou, Maokong, Nangang, Ximending, and Dadaocheng.
Fans can participate in dance challenges at locations like the Rainbow Six in Ximending (西門町彩虹步道 ), Dadaocheng Wharf (大稻埕碼頭), Daan Forest Park (大安森林公園), and Taipei Expo Park (花博公園). The Bannan Line of the Taipei Metro will feature TWICE-themed carriages, while the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Station's gate sound will be replaced with recordings by TWICE members. The Maokong Gondola will also introduce TWICE-themed carriages.
During the concert period, organizers will set up exclusive photo spots to mark TWICE's 10th anniversary. Fans uploading dance videos on social media will have a chance to win round-trip tickets between Taipei and Seoul, with the activity starting on Monday (March 16). Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安), the mayor of Taipei, urged everyone to anticipate the eight official support activities, stating, "From the subway to the streets, the whole city is cheering them on in unison."
