TAIPEI (TVBS News) — HEP Group (三一東林) launched its new Asian headquarters in Taipei on Friday (Jan. 16), unveiling its 2026 operational blueprint. The company aims to upgrade its operational focus and growth layout, including operating AI car washes beginning this year. This marks a significant milestone in its strategic evolution.
Chairman Chen Jui-chien (陳睿謙) shared that after years of restructuring and strategic transformation, HEP Group returned to profitability in the third quarter of 2025, highlighting improved operational health. The company plans to expand its diversified layout through three growth engines: AI car wash parks, overseas real estate, and AI lighting systems.
In the luxury customized car market, HEP Group made headlines last year by selling a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, setting a record for the most expensive car sold in Asia. Chen disclosed efforts to secure allocations for three remaining 300SL convertibles for a prominent Taiwanese collector, which could stir excitement in the high-end collection market.
HEP Group announced plans to launch its AI car wash park initiative in the first quarter of 2026, incorporating Germany's WashTec's latest AI fully automated car wash system to enhance efficiency and service quality. The company aims to establish 50 AI car wash parks across Taiwan in 2026, integrating high-end car detailing, brand experiences, and dining services.
HEP Group says that it continues to invest in its core technology, lighting, with the introduction of its HEP+ system, which integrates sensing, control, and ChatGPT applications. The company plans to showcase this innovation at the Light + Building exhibition in Frankfurt in March.
