TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's TECH WORLD Pavilion (TECH WORLD館) at the Osaka Expo 2025 (大阪世博會) concluded Monday (Oct. 13) after attracting 1.1 million visitors during its six-month run. The exhibition showcased Taiwan's technological innovation and cultural heritage to over 4,000 delegates from 60 countries. The pavilion drew approximately 3,300 daily visitors with displays inspired by Taiwan's mountainous landscapes and semiconductor industry.

Honorary President Huang Chih-fang (黃志芳) declared at the closing ceremony that the pavilion's impact would endure beyond its closure. The exhibition hosted over 300 cultural performances and exchange activities throughout its operation. The pavilion earned the Bronze Award for Best Exhibit/Display from the World Expolympics in September, recognizing Taiwan's creative presentation.

MAYU architects (張瑪龍及陳玉霖聯合建築師事務所) from Taiwan collaborated with Japan's Azusa Sekkei (梓設計) to design the four-story structure around the "Mountains of the Heart" (心之山) concept. The pavilion offered three immersive experiences focusing on Life, Nature, and Future themes. These installations promoted dialogue between humanity, nature, and technology while embodying Taiwan's "Co-prosperity" (共好) philosophy.

Huang and Pavilion Director Chiu Hui-li (邱揮立) presented appreciation certificates to frontline staff during the closing ceremony, recognizing guides, security personnel, cleaning crews, and engineering teams. The ceremony acknowledged contributions from Taiwan's logistics and technical support teams throughout the exhibition's operation. Taiwanese visitors praised the semiconductor displays and cultural presentations, highlighting the pavilion's creative diversity.

The TECH WORLD Pavilion served as a crucial platform showcasing Taiwan's technological achievements and cultural heritage on the international stage. The exhibition strengthened national unity and pride while demonstrating Taiwan's innovation capabilities to global audiences. ◼
