TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Global K-pop sensation BLACKPINK will perform at Kaohsiung National Stadium (世運主場館) on Friday (Oct. 18) and Saturday (Oct. 19). Kaohsiung's Bureau of Cultural Affairs Deputy Director Chien Chia-lun (簡嘉論) announced the southern Taiwan city will illuminate its skyline in pink to welcome fans, known as Blinks.
Live Nation Taiwan launched the "LIGHT UP Kaohsiung IN PINK" marketing campaign for the concerts. Six landmarks illuminate in pink nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. through Saturday (Oct. 19). Participating sites include Love River, Great Harbor Bridge (大港橋), Kaohsiung Port Cruise Terminal (高雄港旅運中心), Kaohsiung Music Center (KMC, 高雄流行音樂中心), Kaohsiung Main Station (高雄火車站), and Formosa Boulevard MRT Station (美麗島捷運站).
The pink lighting symbolizes support for BLACKPINK while enhancing the city's festive atmosphere. Organizers installed exclusive displays from Zuoying High-Speed Rail Station (左營高鐵站) to the concert venue. Features include a giant 3D 'DEADLINE' logo, custom photo backdrops, and themed streetlight flags for fan photography. ◼
