TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. (Foxconn, 鴻海) announced Monday (Oct. 13) a collaboration with NVIDIA to introduce 800 VDC power architecture. The partnership targets Kaohsiung, Taiwan's major southern port city, where Foxconn plans implementation at its AI data center under the K-1 project. This marks a significant milestone in AI industry advancements.
Foxconn stated the 800 VDC power architecture will usher in a new era of high-density and high-performance AI factories. The architecture reduces current and resistance losses, designed specifically for high-density AI workloads. Foxconn emphasized its support for NVIDIA's future multi-generation GPU platforms, ensuring efficient, reliable, and sustainable power delivery for AI servers and data centers.
Foxconn noted the birth of AI factories marks a new era of high-density and high-efficiency industrial development. Through collaboration with NVIDIA and its ecosystem partners, the company will strengthen capabilities in AI servers, power systems, and integrated cooling designs. The goal involves creating secure, energy-efficient, and rapidly deployable AI data center solutions.
At the OCP Global Summit 2025 in San Jose, Ingrasys Technology (鴻佰科技), a Foxconn subsidiary, showcased several next-generation AI solutions. The demonstrations included the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 and NVIDIA HGX B300 platforms. ◼
