TAIPEI (TVBS News) — MediaTek (聯發科) and its subsidiary Airoha (達發科技) announced on Monday (Oct. 13) a joint presentation of a cutting-edge AI fiber optic network gateway platform at the Network X 2025 exhibition in France. This platform, tailored for telecommunications operators, promises to enhance service performance by more than 30%, addressing user pain points and boosting operational efficiency.
Airoha highlighted in a press release the integration of a data analytics engine into the AI fiber gateway, enabling telecom-specific edge AI services. This integration allows operators to intelligently classify traffic and optimize it in real-time. Moreover, AI controls the terminal packets of fiber-to-the-home services, preventing congestion and using AI-assisted Wi-Fi interference resistance to improve latency and increase data throughput by 20%.
