The Presidential Office Building on Ketagalan Boulevard (凱達格蘭大道) will host nightly light projections titled "Stay Tuned, TAIWAN" (不要轉台,馬上回來!) from Tuesday through Thursday (Oct. 7-10), running 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Taipei 101 (台北101), the island's iconic skyscraper, will stage a groundbreaking National Day fireworks display at 10 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 10), themed "Gen. TAIWAN · Our Moment" (Gen. TAIWAN 我們的時刻). The celebration will pioneer the integration of 500 drones with traditional fireworks, demonstrating Taiwan's technological advancement. The National Palace Museum (故宮博物院), Taiwan's premier cultural institution, will provide free admission to both its northern and southern branches on Double Ten Day, Taiwan's national holiday.
The Taipei Water Dance Festival (台北水舞嘉年華), running from Sept. 13 to Oct. 19 at Xikou Wharf (松山錫口碼頭) and Rainbow Bridge (彩虹橋), features performances every 30 minutes from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安) reported that this year's festival has been enhanced with low-altitude fireworks, creating a "water and fire dance" for the 800,000 visitors who attended last year.
The Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government (臺北市政府觀光傳播局), the city's tourism promotion agency, emphasized that this year's festival showcases five pop music suites enhanced with water dance, flame effects, high-pressure water columns, and laser beams. ◼
