TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Ministry of Education's (MOE, 教育部) K-12 Education Administration (教育部國民及學前教育署) announced on Tuesday (July 8) that the 114th school year high school exam-free admissions results have been released, achieving a record-high acceptance rate of 99.63%.
A total of 113,835 students gained admission across 15 school districts nationwide, though 422 students did not secure a spot. The Keelung-Taipei area reported the highest number of unsuccessful applicants at 213. A total of 114,257 students applied for the high school exam-free process.
In this special admissions exam distribution, the Keelung-Taipei area, Taoyuan-Lianjiang area, and Chiayi area admitted 131 students, reaching an overall acceptance rate of 79.4%. Notably, the Hualien area, Taitung area, Penghu area, and Kinmen area achieved a 100% acceptance rate, while other regions such as Chiayi, Keelung-Taipei, and Changhua posted rates of 99.2%, 99.27%, and 99.47%, respectively.
