TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Myogai, an international startup team guided by the Business Incubation Center at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (台灣科技大學, NTUST), announced the launch of a groundbreaking AI-integrated yoga teaching platform on Monday (June 23). This innovative platform uses real-time image recognition and data model training to give users precise feedback and guidance during yoga practice, marking a new milestone in online education.
The Myogai team, comprising NTUST students Dale Neal from Belize, Andres Britez from Paraguay, Slovakian alumnus Valer Vanco, and Belizean resident Luis Manzanero, has already garnered accolades, including a silver medal at the 2025 Best AI Awards (經濟部2025智慧創新大賞) held by Ministry of Economic Affairs, and recognition as a finalist in the 2024 Taiwan Tech Young Entrepreneurs' Rising Star Competition (2024台科青創明日之星決選). Neal explained that the concept originated from technology developed for a robotics competition, which later evolved into an AI platform focused on optimizing yoga postures.
NTUST expressed gratitude for the support provided by its Business Incubation Center, which included legal assistance, competition strategy guidance, and industry connections. Myogai operates as a free platform, allowing users to access it by registering an account. The team plans to incorporate more yoga poses and explore partnerships with yoga alliances in Taiwan and abroad, potentially transitioning to a micro-subscription model for enhanced operations.
