TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Central America Trade Office (CATO, 中美洲經貿辦事處) announced Friday (June 20) a collaboration with Taiwan's renowned snack brand Kuai Kuai (乖乖) to launch a limited-edition "Coffee Rum Kuai Kuai" flavor. This unique snack combines Guatemala's specialty coffee and Belize's craft rum, showcasing exotic flavors.
Visitors can sample this treat at the Taipei International Food Show (台北國際食品展) and other exhibitions. The limited-edition product will be available starting next Wednesday in 200 designated FamilyMart locations from central Taiwan northward and beginning Thursday in Million (蜜鄰) convenience stores in Taipei.
Violeta S. H. Hsu (徐韶慧), CATO director, stated that this snack not only introduces Taiwanese people to the high-quality agricultural products of Guatemala and Belize but also injects new vitality into the economic and trade cooperation between Taiwan and its allies. Taiwan and Guatemala have deepened their coffee trade in recent years, establishing a solid foundation in the agricultural supply chain.
Since Taiwan and Belize signed an economic cooperation agreement in 2022, their economic and trade cooperation has expanded. Rum's debut as a snack ingredient highlights new possibilities for bilateral exchanges. The collaboration between Kuai Kuai and CATO demonstrates the potential for innovative partnerships and cultural exchanges, offering a glimpse into the future of international trade relations.
