CHANGHUA (TVBS News) — The Changhua County Government on Thursday (June 19) welcomed a 13-member South Korean delegation to explore the county's renowned attractions. This initiative aims to design travel itineraries that will entice South Korean tourists as the country seeks to capitalize on the influx of visitors from South Korea, which topped the list of international arrivals in Taiwan with 220,000 travelers in the first two months of the year, according to the Tourism Administration (觀光署).
In response to the opening of new flight routes between Taichung International Airport (臺中國際機場) and South Korea's Incheon International Airport, the Changhua County Government invited representatives from three South Korean travel agencies, one airline, and two media reporters to experience the county's offerings. Their itinerary included visits to iconic sites such as Tianwei Highway Garden (田尾公路花園), Cheng Mei Culture Park (成美文化園), Lukang Old Street (鹿港老街), and Baguashan Scenic Area (八卦山風景區).
Changhua County Government highlighted the area's rich tourism resources, which include local delicacies, natural landscapes, historical sites, and cultural crafts. Its proximity to Taichung Airport and Taiwan High Speed Rail Taichung Station offers international travelers an affordable travel experience. The county expressed its readiness to welcome global visitors, inviting them to deeply experience Changhua's beauty and charm.
As Changhua positions itself as a prime travel destination, the county anticipates further developments in attracting international tourists, leveraging its strategic location and diverse attractions.
