TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Feng Yi-hsin (馮翊新) led the University of Taipei (台北市立大學) to victory in the men's team final at the National Intercollegiate Athletic Games (全國大專校院運動會) on Tuesday (April 29), defeating the National Taiwan Sport University (NTSU, 國立體育大學). The game ended 3-1. Feng secured two crucial points, showcasing his confidence after overcoming South Korea's Jang Woojin (張禹珍) in the Asia Cup in February.
The 114th National Intercollegiate Athletic Games took place in Tainan (台南), where Feng competed for five consecutive days. He not only claimed gold in the men's singles on April 26 but also excelled in the team final. Feng had previously won the singles title in the 111th edition of the games but lost in the finals to teammate Lin Yen-chun (林彥均) for the past two years.
Feng's impressive performances extend beyond national events. He shone in the Asia Cup and the WTT Star Contender Chennai, defeating Jang Woojin and Nigeria's Quadri Aruna (阿魯納). Despite a rough start this year, including an early exit at the Singapore Smash, Feng regained his confidence after the Asia Cup and currently ranks 51st globally, with aspirations to break into the top 40. In July, Feng will compete in the World University Games in Germany. He has expressed his commitment to performing well and doing his best.
