TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The 36th Golden Melody Awards (GMA, 金曲獎) unveiled its main visual theme featuring a hexagonal screw, symbolizing balance, symmetry, and unity. Organizers will hold the ceremony in Taipei Arena (台北小巨蛋) on June 28, aiming to highlight music's role as a structural component in the human mechanism, subtly locking emotions and spirits.
Yang Shi-ching (楊士慶), the visual coordinator for the fourth time, drew inspiration from music. He explained that the hexagonal screw concept resonates with the number 36, representing balance and unity. The main visuals include three posters, each depicting the screw's geometric beauty and its metaphorical role in music's emotional flow and reorganization. Yang said, "Music is an abstract medium that evokes emotional resonance."
The official "GMA36" logo extends from the hexagonal screw concept, symbolizing the unity of all roles in the music industry. Yang emphasized the importance of collective resonance in supporting the Golden Melody Awards' complete system. He invites music lovers to become steadfast screws, connecting through music to achieve a stable and free future.
The 36th Golden Melody Awards will feature a red carpet at 5 p.m. and the award ceremony at 7 p.m. on June 28. The 2025 Golden Melody International Music Festival (2025金曲國際音樂節) will precede the awards, running from June 25 to 27, and will include music forums, business matchmaking meetings, business exchange meetings, and ticketed Golden Melody Showcase concerts.
